Antigua Guatemala
Capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala for more than two centuries, Santiago de los Caballeros was wrecked by the Santa Marta earthquakes of 1773 and abandoned as capital in 1776. What remained, churches, convents, arches and cobbled streets between three volcanoes, is today the most visited destination in the country.
All three points are within a 10-minute walk of each other. Suggested route: Arch, Cathedral, Capuchinas.
